Find a Certified Professional

Find a Professional lists individuals who currently hold an NRPP certification in radon measurement or radon mitigation. Search by location and by the kind of work you need, then open a name to see that person’s credentials, their training, their place of business and the state radon office that covers them.

If something goes wrong

If a system was installed by an NRPP certified professional and it does not reduce your levels, raise it with the installer first. If that does not resolve it, a complaint can be made to NRPP through the complaints process [confirm complaints page link]. Complaints about work carried out by someone who is not certified should go to your state radon office.

Testing your own home

Do it yourself test kits are available from some county and state health departments, from the National Radon Program Services at Kansas State University on 1-800-SOS-RADON (1-800-767-7236), and from some home improvement stores. For general questions about radon in your home, the EPA supported help line is 1-800-55RADON (1-800-557-2366).
